Tongde announced GDDR5X memory version GTX 1060: equivalent 8800MHz

The NVIDIA RTX 20 series has been basically rolled out. I didn't expect the GTX 10 series to have a "new product". The GTX 1060 family, which is already complicated enough, has a new version. The memory is changed from GDDR5 to GDDR5X.

Following Gigabyte, Palit (Gongde) GTX 1060 6GB, model GTX 1060 GamingPro OC+.

The specification finally broke through the equivalent frequency of the public version of 8000MHz, which was increased to 8800MHz, which is 8.8Gbps bandwidth. The 192bit bit width is calculated, and the total bandwidth is 211.2GB/s. Although far from the limit of GDDR5X, it means that performance will be improved compared to the public version.

In terms of other core parameters, the GPU core frequency is 1531MHz, which is 1746MHz faster, which is about 2% higher than the public version.

The reason why the GTX 1060 family is complicated is that last year NVIDIA updated the GTX 1066 with 9Gbps bandwidth, but the number of distributions was small. This time, the GDDR5X version is not known to clear inventory, or to kill the upcoming AMD RX 590.
